Meridian Health Services is currently seeking an MIS Helpdesk Technician to provide training and assistance to the users of Information Systems & equipment. This position will work in a team environment to ensure all Meridian Health Services employees receive timely support on all information system problems including PC's, printers, network equipment, and phones.

Travel of up to 15% may be required; candidate must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license & proof of auto insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer support calls that come through the helpdesk phones and provide initial support on those calls.
  • Enter and assign work orders to the job tracking database.
  • Routinely review open jobs to ensure staff are receiving the support they need on those jobs.
  • Maintain records and logs for all helpdesk requests.
  • Provide training on all company software applications.
  • Coordinate new employee orientation trainings with the Human Resources department.
  • Develop support and training tools that will increase system usability.
  • Develop end-user documentation and routinely update that documentation when needed.
  • Help maintain and develop information systems policy and procedure
  • Create user accounts, make updates, and process terminations for all information systems.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in written form, with the Information Systems Director, other Information Systems team members, and other employees.
  • Actively participate in team meetings providing input and suggestions.
  • Work with vendors for quotes and ordering when directed by Information Systems Director
  • Help maintain company cell phones and billings.
  • Help maintain company pagers and billings.
  • Other duties as assigned

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • A qualified candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) to three (3) years related experience required.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite & Microsoft Windows.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
