You are the Compliance Specialist we are looking for. Your expertise and professionalism are needed to assist the Director of Regulatory Compliance in the development, implementation, and coordination of Meridian Health Service’s compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements. Oversight of compliance with regulatory programs such The Joint Commission, CMS, HRSA, DMHA and others.

Compliance Specialist Key Responsibilities:
- Assess compliance with all regulatory bodies’ requirements, including The Joint Commission, DMHA and HRSA. Recommend corrective action necessary to maintain compliance, as necessary. This includes assisting with mock surveys, internal audits, chart reviews and site inspections.
- Disseminate new/revised/eliminated standards and Elements of Performance to various workgroups and key staff.
- Maintain up to date organizational information on The Joint Commission website, and ensure the timely and accurate submission of all data.
- Assist with surveys/audits by regulatory agencies, including preparation, surveyor on site activities, and corrective action plans as needed.
- Participate in various standing and ad hoc committees as necessary to ensure compliance with regularity standards.
- Lead performance improvement projects as necessary, including developing KPI’s, coordinating the implementation of PI plans, and monitoring outcomes.
- Assist in creating and delivering performance improvement training for employees.
- Assist with updating the organization’s Performance Improvement Plan as needed.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Clinical Policies and Procedures and Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the VP for QRC and the Director of Regulatory Compliance.
We value your Compliance Specialist experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required in a related social service or health care field; Master’s Degree preferred
- At least three years of experience working with regulatory bodies such as The Joint Commission, HRSA, DMHA, CMS or others required
- At least five years of relevant experience and a proven track record of successful performance improvement activity can be substituted for the degree requirement
- Clinical and management experience preferred; ability to perform the job responsibilities from the dual perspective of both areas of expertise.
- Valid driver’s license, a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required
