You are the dynamic, professional CDI QI Auditor/Educator II we are looking for. In a full time capacity, you will be responsible for auditing of medical record documentation in accordance with Meridian auditing specifications, in conjunction with regulatory billing standards/Meridian standards integral in the preservation and improvement of quality care. This position is also responsible for developing and administering training and education for behavioral health, primary care, and dental documentation compliance integral for the preservation and improvement of quality care.

This position is scheduled 8:00a - 5:00p Monday - Friday and will include travel up to 5% for training purposes.

CDI QI Auditor/Educator II Key Responsibilities:

  • Auditing according to Meridian auditing specifications:
    1. All Staff behavioral health audits.
    2. Random auditing.
    3. Provider auditing.
    4. Behavioral health, primary care, and dental auditing.
    5. Requested focused audits.
  • Provide audit feedback to providers, clinicians, and others as appropriate.
  • Identifies training opportunities and new developments to be incorporated into the training program.
  • Implement specific Meridian manager/supervisor requested training.
  • Conducts concurrent training and refresher courses.
  • Actively seeks to identify areas of needed improvement, developing professional-appearing training materials. Revises training materials as appropriate.
  • Provide training in tandem with electronic health record (EHR) training personnel and other staff as required.
  • Develops training resources and provides documentation training for new staff, initial

and follow-up for:

Behavioral Health: Providers, therapists, behavioral clinicians

Primary Care: Providers, medical assistants, nurses

Dental: Providers, assistants

  • Conducts HIM/CDI staff training as necessary and appropriate.
  • Conducts annual additional staff trainings, lunch-and-learns, and other trainings as necessary. Implement specific Meridian manager/supervisor requested training.
  • Completes daily/weekly/monthly/yearly reports as applicable.
  • Assists with compilation of performance metrics.
  • Assists with the development and revisions of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Identifies areas for process improvement.
  • Identifies trends, issues, and opportunities for the organization.
  • Will function in team environment with cross training to other roles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking CDI QI Auditor/Educator II candidates with the following qualities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or higher in related field of study, preferred
  • Medical coding certification
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in healthcare.
  • Previous experience in health record information auditing.
  • Previous experience with training in small and/or large group settings.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in medical coding preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required
